I have Bad Credit

If you have bad credit that doesn’t mean you can’t get credit in the future.

Credit is one of your biggest financial assets. How you use your credit can determine how much financial flexibility you develop. If you have abused or misused your credit in the past institutions who grant credit may reject any new applications for a loan you may apply for. When considering your request they may not give you the best interest rate on a new line of credit but they will consider giving you credit at a price. Over time you can improve their view of how you handle new credit by following some good financial practices.

The key to creating a good credit rating, if you have a poor past credit rating, is to pay your bills on time. Paying your bills on time and, when possible, paying them in full, will really help your credit rating. If you do this consistently, over time your credit history will improve. To pay your bills properly it may help to have a realistic budget that you can stick to when managing your money.

If you’re not disciplined enough to create a workable budget and pay off your debts on time, we can help by connecting you to a reputable credit counseling service.
