My Money, My Life: Financial Fitness for Young Adults in Allegheny County is a free program aimed a educating young adults in low- to moderate-income neighborhoods about financial literacy issues important to them. The program aims to impact at least 1,000 youth ages 16-19 over five years. Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. will conduct financial literacy clubs in at least ten target neighborhoods in the footprint of the partner banks per year. Over the course of five 3-hour classes, students learn about financial goals, budgeting, insurance, credit cards, and other topics. Program graduates receive $100 in a fee-free account with a partner bank.
