Description of Program(s)
YWCA Wheeling provides a Life Skills Parenting program through the Family Violence Prevention Program. Information is provided on domestic violence, child development, anger management, conflict resolution, stress, time, and money management, and other family oriented topics, meant to prevent homelessness and encourage family stability.

Mission
The primary goal of YWCA Wheeling is the elimination of racism and the empowerment of women. The YWCA Wheeling strives at every level in every program to help individuals and the community eliminate racism, empower women, and fulfill our promise to children by helping provide caring adults who live in economic security.

Program Effectiveness
Class size has grown continuously for three years. Referrals come from other service agencies as they become aware of the program. Clients evaluate each class separately on rating sheets.
